2019 Georgia HoopSeen Fall Preview Team 15 Report
By Derik Williams
The first session of our Georgia HoopSeen Fall Preview camp is in the books and our staff of evaluators and coaches have gone through their notes of every player in the camp. Every. Single. One. Today we look closer at Team 15 from the camp.
Santonio Franklin, Howard, 2021, SG: The 6-foot-3 junior is the ultimate glue guy a player that does everything needed of him on the court. If it's defending the other team's best player or crashing the boards to gobble up rebounds. He also has the ability to put the ball in the hole but thrives around the basket.
Jesse Harbin, Johnson, 2020, CG: An active player on both ends looks like he has played a good amount of basketball over the years. The way he moves on the court shows he is confident and understands the game. His senior year should be a very productive one. He had a very good showing over the weekend at the Georgia Fall Preview Camp.
Mattison Hunter, Grady, 2020, CG: A strong guard, Hunter was a driver first and foremost when he had the rock in his hands. He needs time and space for his shot. Really liked him as an offensive rebounder.
Mason McKenzie, Darlington School, 2022, PG: A young prospect that didn't look at all out of place on the floor with older and more experienced players. He needs to continue to gain confidence on the offensive side of the floor and use the skills he has to be an even bigger factor. Will continue to develop over the next several years and needs to fall in love with the weight room.
Connor Thompson, The Heritage School, 2020, CG: A good looking athlete that is sort of a throwback player in the sense that he is very efficient in the mid-range. He has the ability to consistently knock down pull-up jump shots off the dribble or the catch. He possesses the label as a shooter and with continued work on his handle will turn out to be a legit prospect for the next level.
Christian Williams, Peachtree Ridge, 2020, SG: An active lefty that always seems to be around the ball. Scores well at all 3 levels at a high clip and has a motor from the guard position that is unmatched by many. Willing defender on the ball and in help situations. He needs to work on his playmaking because he is so ball-dominant, but is a willing and able passer.
