HoopSeen is the nation's leading provider of prep basketball events and news.  We operate tournaments such as the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, The Best of the South, HoopSeen Atlanta Jam as well as local tournament circuits such as the Georgia Cup.   We also run The Preview series of individual showcases including the highly renowned Elite Preview.  

Our media team is composed of some of the country's leading talent evaluators and industry experts.  They blanket all of our HoopSeen events with in depth and comprehensive coverage in order to help share the stories of players who excel at our events and connect those players with college coaches.  Our media team also provides ongoing coverage of the entire prep basketball landscape, with feature stories, recruiting updates and national and state level rankings.  

Meet our team

Justin Young, Editor-In-Chief 
Justin Young has been the editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com since 2013. He manages the day-to-day operations on the site and in conjunction with our national and regional events. He was the national basketball editor for Rivals.com and a contributing editor at Yahoo! Sports. Young has been earned numerous awards for his work in sports journalism, including the Georgia Press Association Columnist of the Year. His Justin Young Basketball recruiting service has been in existence since 2002 and worked with over 300 schools from all levels. He is the director of HoopSeen Elite Preview camps and our national Preview camp series.

Daniel Paccione, Director of Operations
Daniel Paccione is our Operations Manager. Daniel is our tournament director for our large scale travel team events. He also manages our day to day activities. 

Justin Byerly, Managing Editor & North Carolina & South Carolina Analyst 
Justin Byerly has spent the past 13 years covering North Carolina prep and grassroots basketball. He has previously worked with The Recruit Scoop and Rivals.com. In addition to that he has contributed to The USA Today, Charlotte Observer, The Asheville Citizen-Times and The Sun News. He has held The Justin Byerly Upstate/WNC Showcase the past two years and has helped student-athletes from North Carolina receive college scholarships. He owns The Justin Byerly Scouting scouting service that has over 100 college subscriptions. Byerly resides in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife Danielle and 16-month old Vayda along with three step-children. 

Garrett Tucker, Alabama/Southeast Analyst 
Garrett Tucker is the Alabama editor HoopSeen.com. He has an extensive background in basketball, ranging from his playing days to his current volunteer assistant coaching position. He has built a notable voice in high school and grassroots basketball over the past several years. Tucker is the director of the annual Alabama Elite Preview camp and anchors our Alabama player rankings.
