The HoopSeen Bama Jam had quite a Tennessee flavor as teams from the Volunteer state took home the titles in the 17U, 16U and 15U divisions this past weekend at the spacious Finley Center at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex. In the fourth of four reports, TN Prep Hoops editor Andre Whitehead rolls out some quick-hitters on Tennessee players.

Arguably the best player at the event with his early work, especially on the defensive end of the floor. He erased many shots and caused hesitation with many more. He scored on the block, caught the ball leanly and finished strong. He showed a short jumper and played within his skill set. In the title game he floated away from his strengths, fading away on his scoring chances, not attacking the rim and settling for several ill advised 3-point attempts.
Energetic wing player who plays with passion and vigor, McGowan showed his penchant for knocking down the outside shot with several games of multiple triples. He is quick off the bounce, goes hard to the cup and he can finish in traffic. He needs to add some strength to defend better but he never lacks effort or emotion. Love the hair as well.
Dynamic scoring point guard was instrumental in leading EAB Tennessee 2022 to the championship of the 16 and under division. His quickness is his top asset, he exploded off the dribble and his outside shooting is good enough to keep his defenders from crowding him. As he gets his body right to better defend his position his stock could rise exponentially.
Athletic guard with exceptional size for his position. Shaw can do a multitude of things including shoot from deep and glide to the cup. His best days are ahead of him if continues to work on his craft and get stronger so he can add some lead guard skills into his emerging repertoire.
Active scoring guard moves well without the ball, he can knock down the outside shot and has improved his game off the dribble. He made several plays to excited teammates helping lead EAB 2023 to the undisputed title. Hayden has continued to improve his stock and as he matures and his body does the same his game will only rise.
Old school point guard was all the rage among the EAB faithful with his leadership and ability to lock down tempo for the 16 and under tournament champions. His ability to change speeds, dictate the flow of the game and score when needed makes him an ultra valuable commodity at the most important position on the floor.
Very skilled combo guard who was comfortable with the ball in his hands or moving to open spots and sharing the rock with his championship teammates. He showed a slick outside shooting form and was dynamic off the dribble finishing at the rim. He takes pride in his defense and was often the recipient of loose balls and extra scoring chances.
