Alabama Fall Preview: Team 1 Evals

The 2018 Alabama Fall Preview is officially in the books and we begin our team-by-team evaluations from our loaded day of action on Sunday at Pelham High School.

B.J. Comer, 2019 CG, Prattville Christian (AL): Comer had an outstanding day and was voted as one of the top performers by our coaches and staff. He is a guy low-major and Division II programs need to keep track of this season. Read what our staff had to say about him here

Jahsan Upshaw, 2019 SF/PF, Stanhope Elmore (AL): When Upshaw was playing, everyone in the gym knew about it. The athletic combo forward has a loud game, as he can play above the rim and make a difference with his motor. The senior embraced the physicality of the game each time out, doing the dirty work and not complaining.

Justin Knights, 2020 CG, Columbia (AL): Built like a running back with a stout frame, Knights kept defenses on its toes with his shooting ability. The junior shot the ball well and was a reliable player on the defensive end of the floor.

Will Shaver, 2022 PF, Oak Mountain (AL): There wasn’t a better long-term big man in attendance. Shaver is a guy high-major programs will compete for when it’s all said and done. Read what our staff had to say about the freshman here.

Jacob Comer, 2021 SG, Prattville Christian (AL): Jacob Comer was the beneficiary of many drive and kicks from his older brother, B.J. Jacob shot the ball well and showcased his polished skill-set and high IQ. The next step for him is to go to work in the weight-room.

Tyree Curry, 2021 PG, Evangel Christian Academy (AL): Curry impressed with his quick first step and ability to get to the rim. He defended well on the perimeter with his quickness and also showed some craftiness with the ball in his hands.

Justin Minter, 2019 CG, Wenonah (AL): Minter made a huge impact throughout the day with his unselfishness and passing ability. His overall game earned him a spot on our top performers list.

Garrett Wilson, 2022 CG, Holy Spirit (AL): Talk about having a nose for the ball. Each time there was a loose ball, Wilson was in the vicinity. He brought his hard hat to work on Sunday and performed well as a blue-collar workhorse throughout the day.
