HoopSeen 2022 Wrapped: The HSA's biggest stock risers
The calendar year of 2022 is nearly in the books and we are looking back on the 12 full months of hoop that we've seen at HoopSeen, within the HoopSeen Association and beyond. So, we asked Josh Tec and Justin Young some questions.

Who stands out as the biggest riser of 2022?
It’s hard to believe that Brigham Rogers and Dylan Faulkner entered the travel season with no offers. The pair of Atlanta Allstars forwards were obvious choices for D1 coaches, but their recruitments didn’t start to take off until the second live period in April at the Grassroots Showcase.
However, after that, they became two of the hottest prospects in the south. Offers started to flow in like a flood at that point. Before the July live periods, Rogers had committed to Belmont after being one of the fastest risers in the area. Faulkner had one of his best weekends at Best of the South and had plenty of college coaches on hand to watch him. He saw a second wave of offers after that weekend and ultimately committed to Lipscomb.
From no offers to committing to a pair of proven programs, these Allstars were undoubtedly two of the stockrisers of the year. - Josh Tec
For me, this one is an easy one. It has to be Florida PRO guard DeShayne Montgomery.
I saw him once and immediately had to hit our HoopSeen search database, Google and any sort of research site I could find to dig up more information on the 6-foot-4 guard. He was intriguing from the get-go and remains in that space as an unsigned senior.
Montgomery went from an unranked and relativity unknown regional player to a first-team All-HSA player. He was a top performer in two of our major events - Grassroots Showcase and the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. How’s that for validation?
We saw Montgomery as a creator, scorer, defender and interchangeable guard for one of the toughest teams in the HSA. He is, in my opinion, the most criminally underrecruited player that I saw this season.
He is currently at Hargrave Military Academy this season warrants a good long look from college coaches. - Justin Young
