Elite Preview Camp Team 9 Breakdown
Christian Brown - Brown is a 6-foot guard from Alpharetta, GA and I was really impressed with his quick decision making on the floor; who knew the right moment to dish it off or pull-up with his nice jumper. Brown can finish strong and does a great job playing tight aggressive defense. - DC
Isaiah Dennis: Dennis is a 6-foot-2 two-way guard from Milledgeville, GA and this kid was by far one the elite shooters that we had to grace the camp. He plays with great confidence and isn’t phased by a closeout defender. Dennis provided nonstop energy on both sides of the floor and some strong defense. - DC
Will Hopkins - Hopkins is another big, long guard, wing prospect out of Holy Innocents. He’s a good positional rebounder, and he can play all over the floor. At 6-foot-5, he’s skilled enough to fill several roles, and he has good size. He’s one of the players that I circled as a guy to really monitor moving forward. - Josh Tec
Carby Martin - Martin blends a mixture of strength and athleticism in a perfect way. His athleticism shows in transition, where he excels. Martin is an aggressive defender with great hands. He can turn people over and flex his transition game a bit. Martin also finishes through contact well. Make sure to remember his name for the future. - Josh Tec
Samuel Mock: Mock is an interesting guard prospect in the 2025 class. He’s a smart player who knows how to lead a team. When it comes to running the show, Mock uses his craftiness and shifty ball handling to probe defenses and make plays from the painted area. - Josh Tec
Christopher Morris II - Morris was named as a top performer. You can read more about him here.
Jaylen Richardson - Richardson was another good guard that we had at the Elite Camp this year. He’s a hustle player that can finish strong at the rack. Richardson got down the floor in transition at top speed and provided good quality defense as well; just an all around good teammate to have on the floor. - DC
Matheiu Thomas - Thomas was simply a joy to have at camp, he brings the right attitude and hustle that a coach would love to have on the floor. He got up and down the floor very well and had great awareness on defense. Thomas can finish at the rim and knows when to make the correct pass. He’s young but has some true potential to become a solid guard. - DC
