Florida Recruiting Update: AJ Brown
AJ Brown really burst onto the scene during the live period, especially at the GBCA live period team camp in June. He was a top contributor for Orlando Christian Prep which earned him offers from Drake, VCU, Clemson, Texas A&M, and Murray State. Brown also holds offers from Louisiana Tech, Ohio, Yale, and Penn among others.
The 6-foot-2 guard is one of those do-it-all glue guys. He does not need many touches to impact the game, but when he does have the ball in his hands, he scores it at an efficient rate. Consistent production and making the right play will be what this kid will be known for.
Brown currently has plans to take an official visit to Ohio University on September 3rd and return to Penn State on the 24th. He is also in the process of setting up more visits with hopes on making his decision soon.
"I plan on committing towards the start of October," he said.
When asked what the main factors would be when deciding on a college program, Brown state that the fit, player development, and overall education will be aspects he will look at closely. He also acknowledged that this will be a "hard" decision for him.
After a solid showing in the June live period as well as with E1T1 throughout the travel season, Brown has seen his stock rise over the last few months. The program that gets him will be getting a player that plays with a high motor on both ends, can knock down shots, and make the right plays. Brown will be an instrumental piece in Orlando Christian Prep's upcoming season.
