Spring Preview Team 10 Breakdown
Lidon Pate, 2022, Guard: Pate is the kind of guard that will give opposing coaches headaches. He provides instant offense. He creatively finds ways to get to the basket where he finishes at a high clip. Pate’s jumper is smooth and has some range to it too.
Albert Mikell, 2022, Guard: Mikell is a tough, tough guard. He’s got the tenacity and motor to be a lockdown defender. Mikell always has his sights set on driving downhill and getting to the basket.
Malik Smith, 2022, Guard: What’s one thing that coaches love more than anything? A player that talks on defense. Smith is a chatterbox on the defensive end, and it’s a trait that will get eyes on him. The energy he plays with is unmatchable and impressive. Aside from the intangibles that he brings, Smith is a fantastic passer and finisher.
Philip Schultheis, 2022, Guard: Schultheis is a smooth lefty with a pretty pull-up jumper. He had lots of success getting past the first level of the defense and stopping on a dime for a jump shot. He is a kid that knows where to be on defense and gets a lot of steals as a result. He was good in transition, showing his ability to finish at the rim with either hand.
Anthony Robinson, 2022, Forward: Robinson’s size and build immediately make him stand out from the rest of the pack. He’s a long, athletic forward that uses his natural gifts to outrebound opponents and swat shots into oblivion. When he gets the ball around the basket, look out because he’s going to try to tear the rim down.
Mason Kemp, 2022, Guard: Mason Kemp was named as one of our top performers. You can read more about him here.
Jackson Kemp, 2022, Guard: Jackson is one half of the dangerous, rec-spec-clad twin tandem. As is the case with his brother, Jackson is absolutely deadly from 3-point land. Kemp is a solid rebounding guard, and he moves well off the ball. It’s so much fun to watch Kemp when he heats up.
