Spring Preview Camp Top Performers Part II
Our Spring Preview was the perfect way to bring in the travel season. There were a ton of talented players in attendance competing. There were some performances that stood out. Read on for part II of our camp top performers.
Zyair Greene, Guard, 2021: Greene continues to show why he is one of the top available seniors. At 6-foot-3, Greene is a strong guard that gets into the teeth of the defense and can score it from multiple levels. His body control and upper body strength makes him a menace when he gets downhill and his jump shot makes him a threat from the perimeter. He was one of the best shooters at the camp yesterday as he knocked down well over 10 3-pointers. This is a player that LM-MM and D2s need to be all over. Greene most recently received an offer from GCSU. - Brianna Patton
Jaheim Robinson, PF, 2021:
As one of the biggest players on the floor, Robinson’s size draws attention, but his skill and athleticism are what keeps people focused on him. He’s got the skill to lead a fastbreak or take defenders off the dribble. His athleticism allows him to complete eye-opening dunks and acrobatic finishes around the rim. Finesse isn’t the only aspect of Robinsin’s game though. He uses his size to bully people in the post which allows him to score at will or destroy people on the glass. - Josh Tec
Tre Chatman, PF, 2022:
Chatman was one of the most physical players at the camp. The 6-foot-4 junior uses his strength to bully his way into the paint and finish through contact. He has a stout frame that he utilizes on the defensive end where he walls up and alters shots. He is also smooth off the bounce. He had a lot of success with his pull up jumpers off the dribble. Chatman is vocal and plays with a high motor. I'm interested in where his recruitment goes during the travel season. - Brianna Patton
Jalen Carruth, Guard, 2022:
It did not take long being back in Georgia for this kid to remind people of his skillset. At 6-foot-5, Carruth can score it in a variety of ways. For starters, he is a sniper from behind the arc. He came out hot in his first game, knocking down four threes. He also showed his ability to create separation and attack off the dribble. His first step and length makes him a matchup problem. His athleticism really jumps out at you when he raises up to throw down powerful dunks. He can jump with the best of them. With a number of offers, Carruth could see his recruitment continue to rise as we head into the travel season. - Brianna Patton
MaKaleb McBride, Guard, 2022:
The ball seemed to be attached to McBrides fingers as he showed off a high level of creativity throughout the day. As one of the better playmakers on the floor, McBride excelled as his teams primary ball handler. From his time in transition and in ball screens he found ways to elude defenders while never appearing to be out of control. It was impressive to see a player find his groove in the camp setting and let his natural abilities shine through. - Tai Young
Gaddis Heath, Guard, 2022:
It is extremely hard to take your eyes off this kid while he in on the floor. Heath is a natural athlete that makes things on the court look easy. The way he can stop on a dime added with the elevation he gets on his jump shots makes his pull up jumpers lethal. He gets up the floor so quickly with the ball in his hands and often finds his teammates filling the lanes. He is crafty off the dribble and uses his quick first step to get into the teeth of the defense. If he has the momentum on his way to the rim, he will not hesitate to raise up to throw it down. His activity level on the defensive end is fun to watch. He gets a ton of steals and blocks a lot of shots. Heath has the potential to become one of the best two-way players in the state. Recently offered by Clark Atlanta, look for DI offers to begin rolling in as we get into the travel season. - Brianna Patton
