Andre Weir, one of the top big men in the state of Florida, is quietly back into the recruiting pool. The 6-foot-10 big man from Chaminade Madonna in Hollywood, Florida did not sign with Northeastern, per his family. 

Weir decided against signing early with the school and will be an interesting prospect to chart moving forward. Per the family, he is still interested in Northeastern but “his recruitment is open at this time.” 

After seeing him at the Hoop Exchange Fall Festival we wrote: 

“Weir continues to look better and better each and every time we see him play. He’s putting himself in position to play a lot of minutes right away when he gets to college. Weir’s physical transformation is terrific and he looked fantastic when we saw him in September at the Hoop Exchange Fall Festival.” 

He’s a good student and academics, Weir has said in the past, will play a big role in his decision.
