Boston College lands Upward Stars forward CJ Felder
One of South Carolina's best prospects is off the board as Upward Stars forward C.J Felder has ended his recruitment with a commitment to Boston College.
" When I was up there for the visit I just felt at home. I just felt comfortable while I was there on campus. Being around teammates, being around coaches. I just felt like I had a great fit with the team already. I loved what they coaches were telling me. I can tell they really wanted me there. I just felt like It was the best decision for me."
C.J Felder was a standout at our Bob Gibbons TOC earning super six honors for one of the top players there. He provides Boston College with a physical presence. One that doesn't solely rely on just his size and strength as he also has the skills to punish slow defenders from the perimeter and smaller ones from the paint. Between the lines is one thing, but Felder thinks he can help his newly minted home in another area.
" I feel like, for one, I can bring more buzz to the team. The player that they have there now, Ky Bowman, he's my blood cousin. I feel like that can bring more buzz to the team. Hopefully, we won't get to be on the court with each other because he wants to be a draft pick. He told me great things about the program. He definitely played a part. The fact that we're cousins, It was actually my first time being able to meet him and get to know him and we just clicked. He's actually more like a big brother to me. e played a big role in this for me."
LSU, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Murray State were some of the programs involved for Felder during his recruitment. This makes the fourth commitment from Boston College as they have gained commitments from Jay Heath Jr., Julian Wishrain, and Kamari Williams.
