2025 Atlanta Jam: Top Performers, Part II
SUWANEE, GA - The NCAA Live Period lives in the Peach State and the 2025 edition of the Atlanta Jam unveiled a number of players worthy of a deep dive on the recruiting front. Our staff rolls out part II of our top overall performers.
RELATED: Top Performers, Part I
Isiah Ring, D13 Elite: It was my first time getting to see the athletic and explosive 6-foot-3 guard. I had heard a lot about him and when I finally got to see him, he was impressive. He helped his D13 Elite program get to 3-1 on the weekend.
The accolades prior to the travel season are there. All-Region, All-District, All-District Tournament. He averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals this past high school season.
Part of his arsenal is his explosive first-step and his ability to get by his defender and make a play. Ring can shoot it from the outside and make mid-range jumpers. - Justin Byerly
Jakari Glaspie, Durham Hurricanes: Consistent. That’s what Glaspie was to me this weekend. He was able to score when his team needed it. He did it every game. He did it against the Tennessee Tigers in a win on Sunday here at The Atlanta Jam.
He scored 16 points in the win including some big free-throws down the stretch. While his team didn’t have the weekend they were expecting, it was Glaspie who played well each game for the Hurricanes.
I think Division II coaches should take a look in July at our Best of the South event in downtown Atlanta. Glaspie can play and he does it in a way that makes things easier for his teammates. - Justin Byerly
Christian Pak, Hoop Atlanta: Straight shooter. That is what I think when Pak’s name gets mentioned in our HoopSeen talks about the top performers. He is a guy that can make shots from anywhere on the floor. He has a high basketball IQ coupled with size at the guard spot.
Throughout the weekend, Pak was in the double-digits for scoring each and every game. He was always in the mix because of his scoring ability. For Hoop Atlanta, he was the brightest spot we saw over the event.
As far as recruiting, I had the chance to talk with him and he has nothing going on, which is mind-boggling to me. It is what it is, in this new recruiting world we are in. But I know one thing that always translates, and that is shooting at a high-level and Pak does that. - Justin Byerly
Zeki Locus, Hoop Athens: Locus has been a standout this spring for HoopAthens, and he kept that momentum going this weekend at Atlanta Jam. A tough, hard-nosed guard, Locus has consistently been a problem for opposing defenses when attacking downhill—and this weekend was no different. He filled the stat sheet in their loss to We Play Basketball, posting 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. He followed that up with a 20-point performance in a win over the Durham Hurricanes. As the travel ball season winds down, expect Locus to gain even more traction on the recruiting trail. - Mekhi McKinney
DJ Roberson, Tennessee Tigers: Versatility. Something that college coaches covet at the next level and Roberson has been one of the best at doing that all travel season. Whatever Chip Smith needs Roberson to do, he has done it. He can knock down shots from the outside, battle on the inside, score in transition, defend and do the little things to help his team win.
The Tigers finished the weekend 3-1 overall with their only loss coming on a close one with the Durham Hurricanes. In a double OT win on Saturday, it was Roberson who came away with the loose ball under the basket and sealed the deal in sudden death. With his size and skillset, I think Roberson can play at the next level, soon. - Justin Byerly
