2023 Alabama Fall Preview: Team 4 Evaluations
We had a fantastic day of action on Sunday at the Alabama Fall Preview. During drills, gameplay, and other sessions, our coaches and staff were closely evaluating all the action.
Here’s what our coaches and staff had to say about Team 4:
RELATED: Top performers, Part I | Part II | Ten additional standouts
Ryan Burkett, 2024 PG, Gardendale: Burkett is no stranger to us on the camp scene and he was his usual self at Supreme Courts. The 5-foot-10 guard will defend his tail off and make the most of individual matchups. The hard-nosed guard has a knack for getting paint touches and making shots, too.
J.D. Gossett, 2025 CG, Huntsville: Gossett had a quality day in Guntersville and was included in our top performer list.
Miles Hannah, 2025 CG, Keith: Keith High School is expected to have a big year on the hardwood and Hannah is one of the many reasons why. The athletic, 6-foot guard displayed his strength and ability to play through contact throughout the day. He was able to rise over defenders in the paint and knock down some mid-range shots, too.
Justin Holloway, 2025 F, Opelika: Holloway made arguably the biggest statement from the event. He was a unanimous selection on our top performer list.
Matthew Lucas, 2025 G, Gadsden City: The slippery guard used his quickness and speed to his advantage on Sunday. He threaded the needle and made some impressive passes while also displaying his feel for the game. Lucas was also one of the most relentless defenders we had.
Shyloh Martin, 2026 G, Asbury: Martin impressed his coaches with his effort from start to finish. The 5-foot-8 guard was consistent throughout the day, whether it was making shots from the perimeter or being a positive teammate on both ends of the floor.
James McFadden, 2024 G, Gadsden City: McFadden made the most of his day and impressed our staff along the way. The 6-foot-4, hard-nosed forward showcased his high basketball IQ and shooting ability. He played the right way and was a pleasure to be around his teammates. He’s a senior to watch during the high school season.
Alleick Shipley, 2024 G, Florence: Shipley was one of the premiere scorers that announced himself at camp. The senior sharpshooter can get hot in a hurry — he made several in bunches — and earned a reputation as one of the best shooters in the building. Shipley has the ability to completely alter the outcome of a game with his shooting.
Ke’von Walker, 2025 PF, Huffman: Walker gets better each time out and he was good enough at the Fall Preview to be included on our standout list.
