2023 Alabama Fall Preview: Team 1 Evaluations

We had a fantastic day of action on Sunday at the Alabama Fall Preview. During drills, gameplay, and other sessions, our coaches and staff were closely evaluating all the action.

Here’s what our coaches and staff had to say about Team:

RELATED: Top performers, Part I | Part II | Ten additional standouts

Devin Barksdale, 2025 PG, Jacksonville: Barksdale was mentioned as one of our additional standouts from the event. Read more on his day here

Matthew Fletcher, 2026 G, Tanner: Fletcher made an impact on both ends of the floor with his hard-nosed play. He kept defenses on their toes with his ability to get downhill and get paint touches. He also caused some havoc on defense with his length and versatility.

Marcellous Hall, 2026 G, Ramsay: Hall is another promising young prospect that will ultimately come through the Ramsay program. The 6-foot-2 guard looks just like a young Colby Jones and plays similar to him, too. He’s very skilled and can dribble, pass, or shoot at any given time.

Messiah Jackson, 2024 G, Florence: Jackson had a quality day of action at the Alabama Fall Preview. It seemed like the strong lefty had a magnet to the ball all day. He does a lot of the little things and should be a valuable piece for Florence during the high school season.

DaeShaun Morrisette, 2026 CG, Thompson: It took Morrissette a little bit to get going during 5-on-5 play, but once he found his groove, the Thompson guard did what he does best: putting the ball in the basket. Morrissette used his strong frame to get in the lane and make some tough finishes at the rim.

Rock Rogers, 2026 SG, Hardin Valley (TN): Rogers staked his claim as one of the top shooters in camp early and often on Sunday. The Tennessee product shot it with range and also proved to effectively do the little things that equate to wins on the floor.

Josh Scott, 2025 WF, Fort Payne: Scott was voted as one of the Fall Preview camp’s top performers. Checkout what we had to say about him.

Reed Springer, 2027 CG, Hartselle: Despite being one of the youngest players in camp, Springer played beyond his years and looked like he belonged with the upperclassmen. The freshman was comfortable with the ball in his hands and made some impressive passes in transition, too.

Reid Stodghill, 2024 PF, Hewitt-Trussville: Stodghill showed some improved facets of his game on Sunday, landing his name on our additional standout list

Jeremiah Williams, 2026 CG, Shades Valley: You can find out more on Williams’ day here in our standouts story.
