2023 NextGen Preview Camp: Team Four
SUWANEE, Ga.—We continue with NextGen Preview coverage with team four evaluations.
Jackson had the look of a player with so much more growth coming his way. He’s long and lean right now, but he won’t be for long. He made some great live-dribble passes and came up with deflections on defense.
Neilan was a coachable player and great teammate per his coach. He was able to get to his spots on straight drives.
Ward had several great defensive moments. He’s a longer guard/wing, so he was able to hold his man in check. He used his length to get deflections and clog passing lanes.
Lancaster passed up good shots to get better shots all afternoon. That was an attention grabber that his coach noted. It shows early unselfishness and situational awareness.
Jackson looks like a player just scratching the surface of long-term potential. He’s long on the wing, and he showed a nose for the ball on either end of the floor.
Shedrick was named as one of the camp’s top overall performers. You can read more about him here.
Tenacious could be a good descriptor for Gates because he was never out of a play on either end. He had a no-quit mentality that impressed multiple staff members.
Hunter held down the paint well for his team. He was able to hold his spot well and serve as a strong presence on the glass.
