Flowers blooming into mid-major must have

A necessity for mid-major programs throughout the country is perimeter scoring.

Ahmil Flowers of the Greensboro Warriors is the definition of perimeter scoring and he coupled that scoring with great size at 6-foot-5.

We at HoopSeen saw first hand what Flowers is capable of at The Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. He can get hot from beyond the arc, he can score off the dribble and with his quick first-step he can break down defenders and attack the rim.

Editor-in-Chief of HoopSeen, Justin Young wrote about Flowers after The Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions here. He said:

"Judging by his play so far at the event, he should be one of the better recruited athletic wings there is in the South. Flowers is every bit the mid-major prospect and has the chops to be one of the more recruited guys during the summer live periods."

Flowers tells HoopSeen that he now has offers from Western Carolina, Presbyterian, Elon and a Division II offer from Mars Hill.

His play this spring has garnered him some high-major interest as well with schools like Virginia Tech, Cincinnati and Boston College starting the recruitment process.

Appalachian State recently had Flowers on campus for an unofficial visit. Other mid-major programs keeping track of Flowers are Murray State, Radford, UNC-Greensboro, NC A&T, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Hofstra and George Mason.
