2020 guard Kobe Knox is up next at Tampa Catholic
Kobe Knox, a junior guard from Tampa Catholic (FL), was eye-catcher at the ARS/Rescue Rooter National Hoopfest Tampa over the weekend. The 6-foot-4 guard was explosive to the rim and active in his team's win over The Villages.
Knox scored a loud 20 points and impressed with his deadly first step and play at the rim. Sound familiar - a Knox doing these things in a Tampa Catholic uniform? Kobe is the younger brother of New York Knick Kevin Knox.
To date, North Florida is the only school to offer the younger Knox, he said. Oklahoma State is also in the picture. The Cowboys have Thomas Dziagwa on the roster. He's the son of current Tampa Catholic head coach Don Dziagwa.
UNC Greensboro and Georgia Southern, two of the best mid-major programs in the country, are also involved and remain in communication with Knox. To date, he hasn't taken any visits yet.
Knox was an all-tournament selection at the 2018 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions.
