New school, hot recruitment for Jalen Benjamin

Jalen Benjamin was one of the Super Six players at the 2018 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions after his stellar performance at the loaded event.

Now the North Carolina native is at Meadowcreek High School in metro Atlanta. The Mustangs won the AAAAAAA state championship last season in Georgia.

The dynamic guard from Stackhouse Elite is one of the better scoring point guards in the South from the class of 2019 and his recruitment reflects that.

Benjamin has already taken a visit to UAB and he has official visits scheduled with Northern Kentucky and Lehigh coming up at the beginning of September. All three schools have offered.

So has Richmond, High Point, Northern Illinois, Detroit, Illinois State, Winthrop, South Alabama, George Mason, Tulane, and Northern Arizona.

From our Super Six article from the 2018 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions:

Jalen Benjamin, Stackhouse Elite, 2019 PG: Twenty-five points in the title game was fitting for Stackhouse Elite’s top scoring option. Through three days of watching the cat-quick guard, I saw more tricks out of his sleeve then I could keep up with. Shot after shot landed as Benjamin had a knack for weaving through defenses at an alarming rate. His ability to pace that collection of talented wings and posts was impressive as he also doubled as a high-level facilitator. In a couple of high-intensity moments, Benjamin stepped up to show that he has ice running through his veins.
