Trip Day looking forward to redemption season
2017 Smith’s Station (AL) Glenwood School forward Trip Day missed much of the travel season last year due to knee surgery. With AAU beginning to hit its stride heading into April, the 6-foot-8 stretch 4 man has redemption on his mind.
“I want to have fun and win some tournaments with the guys I’ve been playing with since 7th grade this year,” Day told HoopSeen.com. “We want to prove that we can play with anyone. Of course, I’m going to push myself to the limit and get ready for my senior year and for college ball.”
To this point, Day holds one scholarship offer from Western Carolina. Several other schools are expected to see him in the April live periods, too.
“Troy, South Alabama, Navy, Kennesaw State, and Presbyterian are showing interest. They want to see me at 100% this year since I barely played last year.”
Day had a productive Alabama Elite Preview camp, as he showcased his ability to hit shots from range and play with a high motor. He will play with the Georgia Kings.
