Yet another Bama Jam is in the books, and like the previous renditions of the event, there were plenty of standout players and performances. We’re beginning our post-event coverage with our top performers from the 17U division, where plenty of players lived up to expectations.
Here’s our fourth installation of our top performers from the 17U division…

B.J. Plummer, 2025 F, Pro One UA: The question I heard the most over the weekend was “do you know anything about No. 5 from Pro One?” If I heard it once, I heard it a thousand times at Bama Jam and rightfully so. Plummer, a 6-foot-6 native of Tallahassee (FL) Rickards High School, made quite the impression in his first appearance with Pro One. For starters, he led the team in scoring with over 20 points per contest. The length forward excelled in transition, where he was able to out-run other players down the floor and finish above the rim. The junior has a solid skill-set and is just scraping the surface of what’s to come. He’s one I’d like to keep a close eye on as we get closer to the May live period. - Garrett Tucker
Framuel Diaz, 2025 PF, Rocket City Suns: There’s nothing more intriguing than a big man with solid hands that can stretch the floor and that’s exactly what Diaz brings to the table. Whether it was in the half-court or in transition, the junior wasn’t afraid to let it fly from deep. He also is very efficient with his back to the basket, leaning on scoring over his left shoulder. I can see plenty of college programs checking in on the 6-foot-7 big man this spring. - Garrett Tucker
Bryson Berry, 2025 CG, Team Driven: Berry really took off last season at Bama Jam, where he put up some big scoring numbers en route to being one of our top performers. Nothing was different in 2024. Berry led team Driven in scoring over the weekend as he showcased his versatile scoring ability. The junior guard has no issues getting to his spots on the floor. Whether it was a floater over the defense, a shot off the catch, or a slithery finish around the basket, Berry filled things up in Hoover. - Garrett Tucker
Adam Gonia, AR Elite: Gonia had a quality weekend as an unsigned senior. The heady point guard made quick, solid decisions with the ball in his hands as his team’s floor general. He also kept opposing defenses honest with his reliable shooting ability. Gonia is worthy of some attention this spring as a quality point guard prospect. - Jack Daigle
K.J. Barnes, Pro One Select Mullins/Mastin: Barnes popped off the page at Bama Jam with his intangibles and high-octane scoring ability. The lefty guard had some loud performances over the course of the event, including a couple of plays above the rim. Barnes, a Mississippi native, is a lean, wiry guard that has a lot of potential going forward. He made a nice introduction with his overall play and high ceiling on the perimeter. - Garrett Tucker
Brian Carter Jr., 2024 G, Boom City Elite: Carter is a young 2024 and has the potential of reclassing. He was a very sneaky scorer over the weekend scoring nearly 20 points in every game. The 6-6 guard was nearly perfect from the free throw line. He seems to always be in the right place at the right time to get the easy buckets. - Jeff Roberts
