The Elite Preview 2021-2022 camp is in the books and now we begin to look back at all of the players who competed in the biggest stage of the Fall. 

Javon Bennett, 5-10, PG, Trinity Prep (FL), 2022: He travelled the furthermost to the camp and made sure he took advantage of the stage. He’s a quick, high energy guard who is very willing and capable of defending. He knocked down open three-pointers and got to there rim. Loved his competitive spirit. 

Juvon Gamory, 5-8, PG, Decatur, 2022: A shifty point guard with terrific quickness, Gamory played like a running back making his way through the defense. It was hard to contain him because of his constant movement. He has a good shot from behind the arch. 

Cameron Johnson, 6-0, PG, Harrison, 2022: Possessing a solid body, Johnson used his physical advantage to shine as a  good rebounder for his team. He played tough-nosed defense and got after it on both ends of the floor. 

Parrish Johnson, 6-3, CG, Home school, 2022: A great upside guard, Johnson is a long and wiry guard. The thin backcourt player is capable of defending multiple positions He has a nice base of skills to work with moving forward. Johnson needs to stay in attack mode throughout the game. He can be a mismatch problem moving forward. 

Shomik Shahjahan, 5-10, PG, Miller Grove, 2021: A heady point guard with good range on his shot. He makes right reads in pick and roll and was making friends with the big men on his team. He made his teammates better. Shahjahan is a nice, hard nosed defender. One of the top point guards at the camp. Good wheels and deceptive quickness; good vision and passer; excellent feel for the game.

Tyler Shirley, 6-6, SF, Pebblebrook, 2021: The multi-positional forward was one of the top overall players in the camp. He shined on both ends of the floor and was one of the top rebounders. Read more HERE. 

Jonathan Sweeney, 6-7, PF/C, Cherokee, 2021: The long and lean stretch big man kept the defense spread out because of his ability to space the floor with his shooting. He’s a smart player with a high ceiling. Sweeney came to this same camp last year and continues to develop his skill set. With added work on his strength, the Cherokee County big man could be making a big jump this high school season.
