Checking in with '23 Guard Izzy Miles

Miles Turn Heads at Alabama Team Camp

When the lights were the brightest, 6-foot-2 guard Izzy Miles stood tall and played great for Grissom High at the inaugural Alabama Live-Period team camp.

His dedication and hustle on the floor never disappoints and this time it did not go unnoticed as he picked up his first official offer from Troy University.

Miles has gained a lot of interest from different schools but no one was willing to cross that line, but head coach Scott Cross couldn’t wait a second longer and decided to make that first jump.

“It’s really exciting,” Miles said. “Receiving my first offer definitely puts a fire in me to work harder to keep the offers coming in.”

With an endorsement from Troy, other schools are sure to follow like Spring Hill College, who was the latest school to offer Miles

Alabama State, South Alabama, and Tennessee Tech have reached out since then Miles added.

He was asked what made him strive to be so consistent each time he stepped on the court.

“Knowing I have to play a bigger role for my team has motivated me a lot,” said Miles. “I’ve put in a lot more work coming into the summer with no offers. It’s starting to pay off but it doesn’t stop here.”
