Greene was one of the most productive guards in the 16U division. He delivered every time we saw him with AOT. It was his effort, his energy that shined through the most. Greene has a stronger, more physical build at the guard spot, and he uses that well on drives to handle contact and convert at the rim. Greene gets creative at the rim and can finish acrobatic layups. He had his jumper working for him too. He's a killer from mid-range and can hurt you from deep as well. Greene’s defensive energy can’t go unmissed. He certainly brings it on that end. - Josh Tec
Tim Prather is on the rise in Georgia’s 2025 class. After a solid season on a loaded Newton (GA) squad during the high school season, Prather is looking good this spring and had a great Gibbons weekend. He’s a strong guard who was able to muscle his way to the rim for buckets or to kick to open teammates. Prather has shown time and time again that he can get hot with his jumper, and that he’s a force on defense. Look for him to take on a more prominent role at the point guard spot at Newton now that Stephon Castle is off to UConn. - Josh Tec
Fresh off a Georgia offer, it was nice to get my eyes on Leonard for the first time. Needless to say, the skilled guard didn’t disappoint. At 6-foot-5, the sophomore is a smooth operator on the perimeter, where he can score the basketball as well as anyone. He shot the ball well from behind the three-point line this weekend while also keeping defenses honest with his ability to weave in and out of traffic to finish at the rim. I liked my first viewing and I’m excited to see more of him going forward. - Garrett Tucker
After watching We Play’s game on Friday night, it’s easy to say I would love to play with Barksdale. The skilled floor general is masterful with the ball in his hands and even better distributing it to teammates. Whether it’s dishing off passes in pick-and-roll situations or making lobs in transition, Barksdale knows how to get the ball to his scorers. It doesn’t hurt that he can make shots from distance, too. It was another quality outing for Barksdale. - Garrett Tucker
There weren’t many guards in the Gibbons’ 16U division quicker than Medlock. The slippery floor general lived in the lane with his quickness and burst. He created opportunities for everyone on the floor with his ability to break down opposing defenses. Medlock also made consistent trips to the free-throw line and was able to fill it up on a game to game basis. - Garrett Tucker
There’s plenty of depth on this Atlanta Allstars team. Barron Ofosu was an eye-catcher at Gibbons, especially on Friday night. He played big minutes at the point guard spot and got the ball where it needed to go whether that meant to the many shooters on the team or through the net. Ofosu finished through contact well and grabbed some extra points at the free-throw line.
I know that the Atlanta Timberwolves are going to have guards that I like. Their 16U squad certainly does, and Kaleb Gallman is one of them. He brings good positional size at 6-foot-4, and he can thrive both on and off the ball. Gallman can fill it up in a hurry. I mean, he’s a bucket through and through, and he gets it done from all levels. He can get it going from 3-point range, and he’s got the athleticism to be tough to stop at the rim. - Josh Tec
It was another solid weekend for Miles Clanton. He’s been a spring riser with BCB. His motor runs high at all times. A lot of his productivity on both ends comes from him out working people. His versatility and athleticism help too. He’s got some serious bounce and is an underrated contender to fill a highlight reel. I’m all about consistency and Clanton has been stacking great weekends this spring. He’s one to monitor going into June and into next season at North Gwinnett. - Josh Tec
Broussard impressed as both a shotmaker and playmaker at the guard spot for Team Scoot. He plays on and off the ball well. He’s a player that can go on a heater from the 3-point line, and he brings toughness and feel to this backcourt. He’s able to get into the teeth of defenses and kick to open teammates. Broussard’s value to this team is multi-faceted, and he showed that at Gibbons during a nice run from this team. - Josh Tec
