A three-level scorer, Thompson was a problem every game out for the 16 and under championship team. He was a threat in the corners as a three-point shooter. He was great in the open floor and used his length to soar and play above the rim. He was good with two-dribble pull-ups. Versatility is the name of his game and we saw a lot of the facets of his skill set over the weekend. - Justin Young
Sometimes it’s easy to forget that so many of these SGE guys are playing up because they look very comfortable in the 16U division. Chris Perry is one of those guys. He’s one of the key contributors to this stout defense, and he has a smooth, versatile offensive game. Perry’s upside is obvious. He showed that again at Gibbons. Surely, playing against older competition as regularly as he does will only benefit him in the future. - Josh Tec
Waters made some flashy, eye-catching plays above the rim that caught some attention early in the weekend, but it was his continued improvement that kept me coming back for more. The 6-foot-5 wing is shooting the ball from the perimeter with confidence now and it’s opening up his entire game. I like his potential on the perimeter as a defender, too. - Garrett Tucker
It’s becoming more and more rare to find a mammoth big man with soft hands that can score with his back to the basket. Well, it was yet another strong weekend for Ragland, a 6-foot-9 big man for Team Huncho. He operated well with traffic in the paint, showing his array of post moves and strength with his back to the basket. Ragland is also a quality passer from the post. After seeing him this weekend, I could see him really taking off during the summer months. - Garrett Tucker
Smith is one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in Georgia’s 2025 class. Already around 6-foot-5 or so, he has all of the traits that point to another growth spurt coming sooner or later. Until then, Smith is a lefty wing that can knock down shots from the perimeter and midrange. Smith’s length can be disruptive on the defensive end as well. He had a solid outing at Gibbons this weekend and continued to show why he’s one to keep an eye on for the next year or so. - Josh Tec
Small guard didn’t have a particularly good game from the scoring perspective that I was hoping but he showed some effort and ability to get his teammates involved. The Boom City squad had a nice run in this event led by the patience and set up skills from the young Hampton. He sees the floor well, he tries to make plays and when his physical game catches up with the mental aspects of the game his rise will be meteoric. He has an adequate outside shot but he tends to defer when not on, he needs to develop a floater in the lane, a must for all small guards, and just keep showing the leadership skills that he has within himself. - Andre Whitehead
It was another strong weekend for Springs, who impressed our staff yet again with his motor and blue-collar attitude. The hard-nosed guard is fearless when he steps on the floor, never backing down from competition. Springs scored the ball with ease from all over the floor this weekend, continuing his string of quality weekends on our platform. - Garrett Tucker
