2023 Elite Preview: Team 5 Evaluations
SUWANEE, Ga.—We continue our coverage of Sunday’s loaded Elite Preview with some more individual team evaluations. Team five is up to the plate.
Aquino is a tough competitor. He puts in the work and brings a lot of heart to the floor. His coach celebrated him as a teammate and learner.
If there’s one thing about Eric that stood out above all else, it’s his athleticism. He has plenty of bounce and burst to his game. He’s young, he’s only a freshman, so he has plenty of time to round his game into form, but his athletic gifts are going to help him build some buzz early on.

Spencer had some interesting moments. The 6-foot-4 guard looks like a player that’s going to have a step up this high school season. On Sunday, he played with some shift to his game. He was able to shake defenders with the ball in his hands and get to his spots. He showed positive flashes as a shot maker, and his solid positional size helped him score over smaller defenders.
Manior is an absolute competitor. From the jump, his energy and effort stood out above the pack. Camp coaches mentioned it early and often. When scrimmages started, he played hard every possession on both ends. Manior has athleticism to his game to pair well with his constantly-revved motor.
Williams has had good moments on the HoopSeen camp stage in the past at the NextGen preview. He does a little bit of everything well at this stage. He can fill multiple roles as a guard. Williams has a chance to keep developing into another good guard from East Georgia.
Russell is an intriguing prospect. He has good size, length on the wing. Russell can handle the ball some and make plays from the wing. His ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc certainly doesn’t hurt him as a prospect. He’s still putting it together, but he has potential.
