Spring Preview Team 6 Breakdown

Gaddis Heath, 2022, Guard: Gaddis Heath was named as one of our top performers. You can read about him here.

Chase Champion, 2022, Guard: Champion is a fantastic scorer when he gets going. He has the ability to fill it up at all levels. As a defender, Champion brings terrific energy, and he can be a thorn in his opponents' sides.

Kyle Hanson, 2022, Guard: Every team needs a pass-first point guard that leads the offense and delivers crisp passes to open teammates. Hanson is the quintessential guard to fill that position. His passing ability is fantastic. He threads the ball through tight spaces and gets easy looks for his team. Hanson is a solid shooter from mid-range and from 3-point range. He can also get to the rim whenever he wants. On defense, he uses his speed to stay in front of other guards and he knows when to gamble for steals.

Jonah Hamilton, 2022, Guard: Hamilton is absolutely lethal from 3-point range. He takes and makes 3-pointers at a high percentage. Hamilton can create separation off the dribble, or he can serve as a catch-and-shoot threat. Having him on the floor instantly stretches the floor and creates driving lanes for his teammates. If defenses collapse on the driver, Hamilton is more than willing to make them pay from beyond the arc. In modern basketball, players that have Hamilton’s shooting ability are becoming more valuable by the season.

Jaylin Frasier, 2022, Guard: Frasier is a fierce defender. He excels at blocking shots, getting steals, and running a fast break to get easy points for his team. He’s a more-than-capable shooter that can space the floor and keep teams honest.

Malachi Dooley, 2022, Guard: Malachi Dooley is a nightmare to keep out of the paint. When the 2022 point guard gets going downhill, look out. He’s a tremendous finisher around the rim, and he’s got some bounce, so don’t be surprised when he throws down a big dunk. Because of the energy he brings to the defensive end, he’s tough to get around and score on.

Jalen Carruth, 2022, Guard/Wing: Jalen Carruth was named as one of our top performers. You can read more about him here.

Josue Capeles, 2022, Forward: Capeles was another player who attracted a lot of eyes at the camp. One of the most standout qualities of Capeles’ game is the leadership he brings to the court. He talks on defense and he’s the first one to congratulate or motivate his teammates. When it comes to his play, he’s a physical forward who doesn’t shy away from contact in the paint. Capeles knows the game well. He uses his basketball IQ to set up teammates for open shots and to create space for him to get buckets.
