Georgia Cup 16U Championship
16 AND UNDER: Buckhead Bulls 56, GSW 38
The Buckhead Bulls used a dominant second half to break the game open. This team is flat out impressive. They have so many options that can score in a lot of ways. The Bulls were up 26-19 at the half, and outscored GSW 30-19 in the second half. GSW fought until the very end, though. They never stopped hustling and went on runs of their own. The Bulls ultimately had too much firepower.
Davis Rice led the Bulls with 15 points and Luke Harping joined him in double figures finishing with 11 points. These two have a lot of upside and play with so much fire. Their entire team looked to attack the rim each time they got the ball. They were able to keep GSW on their toes and force them to guard everyone on the floor. As I mentioned earlier, GSW would know go away midway through the second half. Khalil Jones was a handful to defend as he led GSW with 15 points.
Talks centered around the Bulls all weekend about them being a tough team to guard and the championship game was no different. This is a team to keep an eye on as the travel season continues.
