Beach Ball Classic Recruiting Update : Brandon Bass Jr.

At 6’5”, Bass Jr. brings an impressive combination of size and skill to the guard position. His height allows him to see over defenders and make plays that shorter guards might struggle with, while his smooth ball-handling skills and basketball IQ enable him to create opportunities for himself and his teammates. What sets him apart, however, is his poise. Whether he’s navigating a fast break or attacking a half-court defense, Bass Jr. rarely looks rushed. He never gets sped up and he has uncanny body control.

His Game

Bass is a natural scorer. His left-handed shooting touch is fluid and consistent, and he has shown the ability to knock down shots from all three levels. Whether it’s pulling up for a mid-range jumper, draining threes from beyond the arc, or finishing at the rim, Bass Jr. is a threat whenever the ball is in his hands.

Recruitment

Bass holds nearly two dozen offers at this point.

Recently Bass tells me he has been hearing from Michigan and Notre Dame. Fighting Irish assistant coach Kyle Getter was at The Beach Ball Classic yesterday taking in his game. He tells me that he is also planning a visit to Purdue at the end of the season.

As for LSU, where his dad played, "Oh yeah they have been recruiting me for a while. I have been to campus a lot."
