Virginia Beach, VA - Another travel season is in the books and we finished the season off with a bang at our Grassroots Finale in Virginia Beach. Let’s take a deep dive into our first set of top performers in the 15-and-under division.

N’ky Johnson, DB Elite - N’ky was strictly about his buckets this weekend, and it showed in DB Elite’s win over Team Loaded Basketball. He had a game-high 21 points, and every bucket seemed personal. He got to the rim using various combos and was relentless in his attack. - Mekhi McKinney

Brody Watkins, DB Elite - We like point guards that make everyone else on the team look better. Watkins was able to do that throughout the weekend with his DB Elite squad. He is a high basketball IQ prospect that can make shots from the perimeter and understands the duties of a point guard. Watkins scored 25 points in a win to finish out the grassroots finale. - Justin Byerly

Cam Moore, Warriors Life Elite - Moore was a man amongst boys all weekend, causing mismatch problems for opponents due to his ability to drive the ball and create at his size. Moore’s finishing ability was impressive for his age, demonstrating skills like shielding the ball from defenders, playing off two feet, and executing some nice above-the-rim finishes. - Mekhi McKinney

Tabren Hawkins, Team Loaded 757 HGSL - The crafty 15-and-under guard handled business all weekend and led his team to a championship with an undefeated weekend. Hawkins consistently knocked down tough mid-range shots, got into the paint, and had some nice finishes. As Hawkins continues to develop, he will be a name to watch in his area. - Mekhi McKinney

Nate Lessley, Team Loaded 757 HGSL - Lessley ended his weekend with a sudden death championship, and he was a big reason why they achieved that. His motor, skill, and overall potential will make him a highly regarded prospect over the next few years.
