Blacktop Basketball Takes Home the Bob Gibbons 17U White Bracket Championship

SUWANEE—To close out the 2022 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, Blacktop Basketball won the 17U White Bracket Championship 60-55 over TSF Elite 2. 

 

Aaron Barton led Blacktop with 24 points.

 

It was a guard’s battle that saw two of them go blow for blow in a tight affair. The cliche that basketball is a game of runs rang true in this game. When one team gained a little bit of breathing room, the other punched back. 

 

Ultimately, Barton’s performance gave Blacktop the advantage, and they were able to take the gold trophy back home to Florida with them. 

 

For TSF Elite 2, DJ Mitchell led the charge with 19 points.
