2024 Alabama Fall Preview: Team 4 Evaluations
We had a fantastic day of action on Sunday at the Alabama Fall Preview. During drills, gameplay, and other sessions, our coaches and staff were closely evaluating all the action.
Here’s what our coaches and staff had to say about Team 4:
Devon McKinnon, 2025 SG, Clay-Chalkville: McKinnon was one of the top performers in attendance at the Alabama Fall Preview. Read what we had to say about his day here.
Riley Kent, 2026 CG, Spain Park: The smooth lefty looked plenty comfortable initiating offense throughout the day. He also made some shots with range and showcased his versatile offensive package.
Ryan Lemons, 2027 PG, Gardendale: Lemons was one of the bright young point guards we had in the field. He displayed elite vision and his high basketball IQ as a pass-first guard.
Ty Odom, 2025 SG, Hartselle: Odom excelled in catch-and-shoot scenarios during camp, distancing himself as one of the top shooters in the building. He also did a nice job playing in passing lanes and making things difficult for opposing offenses.
Cornelius Brown, 2027 CG, Sipsey Valley: Brown brought the energy for his team. He plays with a high motor and has the potential to be an elite defender with his length and athleticism. Keep an eye on his name at Sipsey Valley this season.
Kamron Gamble, 2026 CG, Decatur: Gamble earned a couple of top performer votes and was mentioned as a camp standout.
Dave Carter, 2025 PF, Hewitt-Trussville: Carter was the ideal anchor for Team 4. The true 5 man did a quality job defending the post and scoring on the block.
Samuel Marco Smith, 2027 WF, Elberta: Smith showed he’s the ultimate utility guy on the floor. In fact, a coach made the comment that he “does so much to affect winning.” Not bad for a young sophomore.
Sam Fox, 2026 WF, Spain Park: Fox showed his ultimate versatility as a player on Saturday. He defends multiple positions and brings a hardhat attitude when he steps on the floor. He did a nice job creating space in pick-and-roll opportunities, too.
