2024 Alabama Fall Preview: Team 1 Evaluations
We had a fantastic day of action on Sunday at the Alabama Fall Preview. During drills, gameplay, and other sessions, our coaches and staff were closely evaluating all the action.
Here’s what our coaches and staff had to say about Team 1:
Austin Nance, 2026 PG, Hazel Green: Nance was mentioned as a standout by our staff. Read what we had to say about him here.
Carsen Hall, 2027 PG, Clay-Chalkville: Hall is a quick and shifty guard with a nice handle. He consistently made the extra pass and took quality shots. Great on-ball defender, too.
Taylen Jones, 2027 WF, Florence: Jones brings a ton of versatility to the floor. The lefty has a nice combination of strength and skill and he scored inside and out. He made several deep shots off the bounce in transition.
Reed Springer, 2027 SG, Hartselle: Springer was effective off the bounce and showcased his playmaking abilities. He was fearless attacking the paint while also keeping defenses honest with his shooting.
Harrison Stewart, 2026 CG, Spain Park: Stewart has gained some noticeable weight and strength to his frame. It helped him throughout the day, as he proved he could take some bumps from defenders and not get rattled.
Skyler Stovall, 2025 CG, Montgomery Academy: Stovall received a couple of top performer votes and was named as a standout from the event.
Nicolas Matteo Smith, 2025 PF, Elberta: Smith proved to be one of the best rebounders on his team. The senior showed some good flashes in the mid and low post with his footwork. He made several tough finishes inside.
Lucas Bryant, 2025 SG, Geraldine: Motor, motor, motor. Bryant brought the energy on both ends of the floor and benefited on the offensive end with a couple of easy baskets. He also was vocal on the defensive end of the floor and showed great leadership qualities.
Jalen Chandler, 2025 PF, Florence: Chandler was one of the most active players at the Fall Preview. He earned a top standout nod here.
