The latest Region and Sub-State Action in East Tennessee

Region playoff and the sub-state games are the focus as we move towards the Big Dance here in Tennessee.

I want to say thank you to everyone who has given their support and prayers for my Dad as we struggle through this tough time.

REGION TOURNAMENT AND SUB-STATE GAMES

WEST TENNESSEE

Scoring Efforts

Amarr Knox (Bartlett): Want to make a statement? How about a 36 point outburst in the region final. Knox was that man as he notched the gaudy numbers in the region finale victory over Memphis East.

D'Antoine Hankins (Manassas): Region tournament is the place to shine. Hankins opened up region action with a 26 point effort against Hillcrest then followed up with 23 against PCA in the semi final loss.

Cornelius Collins (Bolton): The Wildcats have been one of the surprise squads of the region event here in West Tennessee. Collins was at his best with a 23 point effort against Millington Central in the semi final round.

Several huge scoring efforts highlighted the region landscape in West Tennessee including:

D.J. Genesy (Jackson Northside) 31pts vs. McNairy Central
Jordan Patterson (KIPP) 29pts vs. Mitchell
Julius Thedford (Whitehaven) 25pts vs. Collierville
T.J. Thomas (FACS) 24pts vs. Webb School
Cameron Brown (Mitchell) 23pts vs. Obion County
Kyler Dandridge (White Station) 23pts vs. Germantown
Cameron Lewis (Ridgeway) 23pts vs. Fayette-Ware
Andre Watson (Mitchell) 23pts vs. KIPP
Alijah Curry (Memphis East) 22pts vs. Bartlett
Curtis Givens (MUS) 22pts vs. Knoxville Catholic
Jarrod Mackey (Hillcrest) 22pts vs. Manassas
Bryce Robbins (South Gibson) 22pts vs. Chester County

Bryce Arnold (Bradford) 20pts vs. Lake County
E.J. Smith (Memphis East) 20pts vs. Germantown

Sub-State Scoring Efforts

Amarr Knox (Bartlett) and JR Jacobs (Bartlett): The dynamic duo was efficient as always scoring 22 and 20 points and leading the Panthers past Rossview for their state tourney berth.

E.J. Smith (Memphis East): Junior scored 20 as East fell in the sub-state contest to Clarksville.
