Best of the 2023 HSA: Top Forwards

Let's continue our Best Of series for the 2023 season of the HoopSeen Association. Today we explore the top five forwards of our league.

1 Gevontae Ware, 1 of 1 Elite RARE (2025)
2 Enrico Borio, Florida PRO
3 Jajuan Nicholls, 1 of 1 Elite
4 Jeremy Elyzee, Florida PRO
5 Matt Puodziukaitis, Wellington Wolves

The big man position was a versatile one on the HoopSeen Association platform in 2023.

Ware was the best 2025 prospect on our platform this season and a no-brainer top 100 player in the class of 2025 nationally. Ware was the most physically intimidating player on our platform this season. He’ll be a player to chart for the next 12 months ahead. Big things are on the horizon.

Borio is one of the best passing forwards in the country, regardless of platform. You could make a case that he’s a two, three or a four in the right system.

Nicholls proved himself as a determined forward and one of the toughest players to guard at the 17 and under level nationally for independent teams.

Elyzee has a chance to be a big-time defensive forward in college. His impact on defense could be a real strength for a college program. Puodziukaitis was as steady as it gets this season for one of the most steady programs in independent hoops - Ball4Lyfe.
