Gatorade Player of the Year? Premium Content

Isaiah Evans might have just solidified his spot as The Gatorade Player of the Year for North Carolina. In the second-round of the NCHSAA playoffs this week. Evans, a 6-foot-7 wing for North Mecklenburg High School, scored 44 points in a win over Hopewell High School to advance to the third-round of the NCHSAA playoffs. Evans is ranked as the 17th best prospect in the country in our HoopSeen national rankings. He has a chance to be the first-player from Mecklenburg County to be named a Gatorade Player of the Year in almost 25-years.
