The 6-foot-10 prospect held offers from Charlotte, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Penn State and South Carolina among others. Steinhour's grandfather, Randy Mahaffey was an All-ACC selection during his time at Clemson back in the 1960's. Clemson has had success over the last few seasons and made a run to the Elite Eight this past season before falling to Alabama. 

Steinhour is playing with Team CP3 this travel season on the Nike EYBL stage and went ahead and called it for Clemson before the June scholastic evaluation period and the July travel circuit evaluation periods.
