Rakease Passmore Talks Recruiting from Pangos

It's been a busy couple of weeks for 2024 guard Rakease Passmore. He spent the majority of the travel season with Garner Road on the Adidas circuit and spent one weekend with Team Thad over Memorial Day weekend on the Nike circuit and is now in Vegas for the Pangos All-American week. Our Josh Tec did the hard work and got an interview with Passmore while in Vegas and I get to do the easy part and break down that interview here on HoopSeen.

Passmore made the jump up to #20 in our latest HoopSeen national rankings for the 2024 class. We asked him about what helped make it easy for us to make that jump in the rankings, "The number one thing is showing that I am coachable and that I work hard for everything. I can play with high-level players and I can be coached."

Passmore scored 28 points on the first night at Pangos. How did he do it? "I was able to get downhill, shooting the ball well, getting my teammates involved and playing defense, Passmore said.

Passmore tells HoopSeen that Oklahoma, Indiana and Oregon are the schools that have been in contact the most recently. He recently took a visit to Indiana and Oregon. "Indiana was great, the fans are crazy, Mike Woodson is crazy, I love it all up there," Passmore said. As to how Woodson thinks Passmore will fit in at Indiana, "Just by playing hard, you know. Don't take any plays off and play hard," Passmore said.

As for Oregon, "Oregon was good, I liked the town, the town is real smooth. It will rain for like 30 seconds and then it will stop. Nike was nice. The shoes they have there was crazy and the gear they had was crazy."

Passmore tells HoopSeen that he is in the process of setting up visits with LSU, Oklahoma and Mississippi State.
