Jayan Walker sets three official visits

As the summer travel season comes to a close, prospects and college coaches both have their eyes set on the future. Visit season will be here before we know it and plenty of rising seniors are scheduling dates for official visits to college campuses.

One of those players is 2024 Raleigh (NC) Millbrook wing Jayan Walker, who has become a priority for several mid-major programs on the east coast over the last few months.

I fully endorse Walker to the schools pursuing him. He was one of my favorite players that I saw in the early travel months. His playmaking ability as a power wing sets him apart from his peers, and I think both of those benefit him going forward.

The 6-foot-6 wing landed a handful of scholarship offers during the travel season. Radford, High Point, St. Bonaventure, UT-Arlington, William & Mary, Georgia State, Iona, Robert Morris, UNC-Greensboro, Arkansas State, Marshall, Florida International, Mount St. Mary’s, Middle Tennessee State, UT-Chattanooga, James Madison, and Hampton are among the schools that have been in the picture at some point.

However, Walker is beginning to narrow things down and it starts with official visits. The North Carolina product has scheduled three visits with more possibly coming in the future.

“I’ll be at Georgia State the weekend of 9/9, St. Bonaventure the weekend of 9/14, and Marshall the weekend of 9/22,” he told HoopSeen.com. “I’m still working on the other ones.”

Once Walker completes his official visit tour, don’t be surprised to see a decision coming soon.
