Nike EYBL Session 4 Day One Notebook from @TJBScouting
Our Josh Tec was in Memphis this weekend for the fourth session of the Nike EYBL and I was posted up watching the day online. Nike does as good of a job as anyone with their streaming service of the games and I was able to get a lot of notes on the event with a lot of screens going on at once.
Passmore Runs with Team Thad
Combine Academy's super athletic wing Rakease Passmore jumped ship and was running with Team Thad this weekend for the fourth session of Nike's EYBL stop. Passmore was able to help Thad grab two more wins over on the first day of the event. He scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a win over Pro Skills and in a win over Vegas Elite, Passmore had 8 points and 4 rebounds. He is one of the most athletic players no matter what platform he is playing on.
Tillery Shines for Nightrydas Elite
In two games as Nightrydas went 1-1 on the day, Tillery, a guard with size at 6-foot-6 went for 18 points and 23 points respectively. Tillery is a guy that can score from all over and with his size advantage, he can get baskets with ease. He is currently ranked as the 16th best prospect in Florida in the 2024 class. He holds offers from Coastal Carolina and Drake.
Stevenson Has Big Game for Team United
With rumors swirling that Stevenson could re-class up to the 2023 class and enroll early at either Alabama or North Carolina, among others, he showed in the second game of the day that with some work over the summer he could be ready for that jump. In Team United's win over New Jersey Scholars, he scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He produced the game deciding and-one play with a strong drive and finish at the rim to secure the win.
Houston We Have a Problem
Jacob Williford is going to be a name to write down. The 6-foot-3 combo guard for Houston Hoops 15-and--under program is an athletic slasher that loves to finish plays at the rim. He likes to get out in transition and destroy the rim if he can. He scored 14 points and 17 points respectively in two games yesterday for Houston Hoops.
Swartz Continues His Strong Spring Showing
Cannon School guard Austin Swartz dropped 29 points in the final game of the first day for Boo Williams yesterday. The shooting guard has been putting down some big numbers beside his name all spring and is averaging 19.9 points per game on the EYBL this go around. With Cannon School, Swartz will be playing in the NCISAA private school live period event in the coming weeks and will have high-major program after high-major program in attendance.
