Hayesville Brings Title Back to WNC Premium Content

The Hayesville High School Yellow Jackets were able to claim the NCHSAA 1-A state title yesterday by taking down Chatham Charter High School, 54-43. This brings the state title back to Hayesville High School for the first time since 2004. This is the second state-title for Head Coach Michael Cottrell. The Yellow Jackets finished the season at 28-0. Hayesville won the Smoky Mountain Conference again this year and won the Western Regional for the third time.
