Best of the South 17U Red Champions: CB Elite

Team Synergy with a roster full of Charlotte, North Carolina prospects breezed through their bracket with no blemishes. Going undefeated on the weekend up until the championship. In the championship game against CB Elite, Synergy started out with a flurry of baskets and took a 10-point lead. CB Elite dug in and fought back to make the score 27-26 at halftime behind 9 points from Bashir 

Leading the way in the first half for Team Synergy was Delani Hammonds with 9 points. 

To start the second-half, Team Synergy went on a 5-0 run to jump out to a 31-26 lead with just over 13 minutes left. 

Delani Hammonds connected on a mid-range jumper with 8:28 remaining to pull Synergy up 38-35. Hammonds went on to score two more times on a couple of contested jumpers and started to get hot. Synergy took a 44-38 lead with 6:30 remaining. 

Bashir Ngala tied the game up with 3:15 remaining at 44-44 with a drive to the basket and finish. 

Ngala would finish with 19 points in the win for CB Elite out of Montral, Canada.
