2022 Fall Preview Top Performers II
SUWANEE, GA—The Fall Preview was a great way to cap the fall camp season for 2022. We are starting our coverage of the camp with more of the day’s top performers. For more on top performers, check out the other part of this list here.
Williams has had an impressive fall camp season and capped it off with a solid outing at HoopSeen’s Fall Preview. He brings poise and a crafty attack to the point guard spot. He has a tremendous feel for the game and uses his high basketball IQ on both ends of the floor. He’s an effective scorer and distributor on offense. Williams can pick apart defenses with savvy. Before camp, I remarked to someone about how much I enjoyed watching Williams, and halfway through camp, that person came up and told me that Williams left the same impression in him. During the scholastic season, I’m expecting him to open some more eyes.
Jasquith has made the trip up to this camp from Florida a couple of times. Last year, he was one of the more intriguing prospects. This year, that remains the case. He has next-level size and length with a long, lanky build. He brings versatility to the perimeter and can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. Jasquith is athletic and uses that to his advantage on drives to the basket. He has one of the highest ceilings of anyone we saw.
Foster’s an intriguing guard prospect in the state’s 2025 class. He’s long and wiry, and at 6-foot-3, he has nice size for the position. Foster is a tremendous shooter who can get his shot off quickly and can create off the bounce or shoot off the catch. He showed a knack for being able to knock down tough mid-range jumpers. While he’s proven to be a gifted shooter, Foster also showed that he can drive and finish at the basket just as well. Look out for Woodward Academy. With Foster and Deke Cooper working together, they could be in for a special couple of seasons.
McGriff was a player who turned heads throughout the day and caught the attention of evaluators. He’s a skilled wing who should see a rise in Georgia’s 2024 class. McGriff can make plays from the wing and has a nice-looking jumper. He’s great on the perimeter, and he impressed at the rim too. McGriff is an athletic finisher who also has great touch around the basket. McGriff also impressed in his passing and vision.
Jared White is a point guard in the 2025 class to keep an eye on. He’s a fantastic creator and facilitator. Off the bounce, he can get to where he wants to go on the floor and score or find open teammates. He was consistent at the rim and from beyond the arc. He should have some eye-opening moments with Sandy Creek this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to be talking about Jared White as one of the state’s stock risers at some point.
