UH Elite takes the Cactus Classic 16U title

MESA, AZ - The 16 and under division of the Cactus Classic was stacked up with talented teams and talented players. In the end, two of Arizona’s best programs locked horns for the championship of the division on Sunday afternoon at Bell Bank Park. UH Elite took home a hard-fought victory 65-59 over Firestorm 15.

UH Elite had a great balance across the board all weekend. In this one, we saw the full bag from Ayden Madi to the tune of 18 points. His presence was felt on the glass and on the defensive end of the floor, too.

Big man Andrew Bhesani added 12 points and controlled the paint. The hot hand of Ryan Burbach was felt all weekend long. He connected for three three-pointers, finishing with nine points in the win. Luke Danielson added eight points in the title game.

For Firestorm, they were paced by Quincy Everson. He was on fire from three in the second half, hitting four triples. Everson finished the game with 19 points. He was one of the best guards in the field this weekend.

Jaden Vance added ten and was one of the most intriguing players in the 16U division. Kingston Tosi added nine in the title game.
