MESA, AZ - The inaugural Cactus Classic is in the books and the 15 and under division, champions have been crowned on Sunday at Bell Bank Park as Total Package won 60-33 against Team Phoenix. 

It was a stellar weekend for Total Package, getting balanced effort across the board all weekend. That was certainly the case in the championship game with four players scoring in double figures. 

Desean Middlebrook capped off his stellar weekend, scoring 14 points in the title game in a variety of ways. The class of 2026 prospect looks like he’s going to be on a shortlist of who’s next in the state of Arizona in the coming years ahead. 

He had great support around the halfcourt through the bracket. Brayden Newton scored 13 tough points, showing the ability to score down low and get to the foul line. Brody Postorino pumped in 11 points and hit three three-pointers along the way. Guard Marcus Murray added 10 points in the title game. 

Team Phoenix was a tough group for the field this weekend. A long and athletic bunch, the men in black certainly made their mark. Big man Gage Lindsey scored 14 in the title game and worked the boards all weekend. He was impressive throughout the bracket. In the semifinal game, he scored 27 points in the action. Overall, terrific weekend for him.
