Nwotite shredded defenses all weekend with his ability to get to the rack off the dribble and get downhill in a hurry.  His athleticism allows him to finish over bigger defenders and he has a developing mid-range game that he seems to rely on more and more.  He will be one of the better unsigned guys you will see out of Arizona this spring. His outside shot could still use some work but if you have seen him play over the years it is not hard to see that he is in the gym working.  He is also a great defender, especially on help defense with good and active hands that get his team out in the place he loves it most, in transition.

Wilson is one of the better unsigned playmakers in the state.  He can really carve a defense up when he gets going.  While outside shooting isn’t the strongest part of his game, he is a capable one if left open.  At 6-foot-5, his length and athleticism make him a problem to deal with in the paint.  While his journey might end up a little different with a few detours, I think he really has a chance to be successful somewhere at the next level if he approaches the game aggressively more often than not. He stood out over the weekend every time I put eyes on him.

Ginsberg may not always pop out of the page with statistics and may not seem like the dominant guard on the floor.  But it does not take long to see the impact he can make on a team by making everyone better and the unselfish way he plays the game.  While playmaking and being a true point guard seem to be his go-to, he is a very good shooter from the outside when he decides to line it up.  He is also a hell of a defender on the other side of the ball and puts his body on the line on any possession it calls for.  The 2023 lead guard should find a really good home at the next level.  It helps that he is genuinely a great kid and leader as well.

I really liked getting to see Neibauer play.  He seems to be really finding himself as a player at this level.  He checks the boxes that you look for as a prospect for the next level, however, what level that is remains to be determined.  He has some good length and can really shoot it from deep when his feet get set.  He is still much better in shooting off the catch then off the dribble, but he is a damn good one.  He also plays hard, as this whole team seems to have that in their DNA.  He uses his length well on defense, even though he is very undersized at times with who he has to switch out on defense.  While the play of the backcourt of this team is really their identity, he is one that can’t be forgotten in the shuffle.

One of the better overall point guards in the field over the weekend was undoubtedly Thorson.  He seems to almost always make the right read and play for his team and when it’s time for him to start putting the ball in the bucket, he can do so and make it look easy.  Has a real nice stroke from the outside and has the athleticism to finish in the paint, even though he is only a shade over 6-foot.
