Tennessee Tigers Bringing Coaches

Tennessee Tigers 17U squad had plenty of eyeballs on them throughout the day including coaches from Lipscomb, Belmont, Mercer, Wofford, Army, Furman, Yale, William & Mary, Lehigh, etc. Some of that centered around 2016 combo guard Ross Cummings. 

The Creekwood High School product intrigued me a year ago and has continued his development. Not only does he flash solid quickness and ball handling skills but he also shoots the ball from the perimeter well. It's easy to see why high-academic, low-major programs are flocking to see him play.

Kenny Cooper Bringing It

Playing for WACG (Team Fam), Kenny Cooper is a 6'1" bowling-ball type. He excels in traffic by counting off defenders with good vision. The lefty also has a nice perimeter stroke. He claims offers from Austin Peay and Lipscomb to go along with interest from Wofford, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Belmont, and College of Charleston.

Put Justin Kier on Your Map

Spectrum Elite Black's Justin Kier handled point guard duties for his squad and flashed versatility and size at the position. At 6'3", Kier has good length as a ball handler to go along with a crafty game that's already earned an offer from Fairfield to go along with interest from Radford, Longwood, Mount St. Mary's, James Madison, and UNC Wilmington.

Two Available 2015s From Carolina Reign

Carolina Reign showed up with two unsigned 2015s that could fit the bill for any low-majors or mid-majors still looking. First is 6'7" Bamba Jaye. Jaye has a great build and moves really well for a post. He also flashed a jumpshot off a screen-and-roll. He's a true post right now, but could develop into a stretch-4 at the next level.

The other is Andrien White. White was the lead guard for Carolina Reign. At 6'2" he has a good build that allows him to get to the rim and finish through contact. He projects as a combo guard at the next level.

Southeast Elite 16U impresses 

Arguably one of the best trios at the 16U level this weekend has been Southeast Elite's Terrell Turner, Wyatt Wilkes, and Chaundee Brown.

Turner's a playmaker. He scores in a variety ways at all three levels. It's easy to see why Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin was in attendance to see him play.

Wilkes is the one that surprised me. At 6'8" his best skill was perimeter shooting and with shooters being a premium, I wouldn't be surprised to see programs start extending offers his way.

Brown has been filling up the scoresheet. He's an extremely solid 6'6" that scores through contact at the rim. If he can develop a consistent midrange game, watch out.
