Spring Preview Camp Team 1 Breakdown
Beruk Araga, 2023 - Araga plays at a good pace and has a nice handle. He has a bit of bop to his game that can break defenders down so he can penetrate the teeth of the defense. He also showed his ability to knock down deep threes.
Amaru Grosvenor, 2022 - Grosvenor was named a top overall performer. Read about him here.
Ty Head, 2024 - Head plays with a high motor and goes after every loose ball. He crashes the boards and shows a lot of hustle.
Jaylon Johnson, 2024 - Johnson shot the ball well from three throughout the day. When he was at the lead guard position, he was able to operate as a floor general by distributing and getting his, too.
Michael Kinnard, 2023 - Kinnard was one of the best athletes in the building. He began game play by knocking down four 3-pointers in his first game. This kid likes to play above the rim; he threw down a couple of powerful dunks and flew in to block opponents' shots.
Blake Pollack - Pollack displayed a nice feel for the game. He is crafty with the ball in his hands and maneuvers through traffic with a lot of patience. He also showed he can knock down shots from different spots.
Brandon Pruitt, 2024 - Pruitt has a chance to be a really solid player. As a sophomore, he has a strong, sturdy frame; primarily his upper body. He utilizes those broad shoulders to create distance between the defense when he goes up for tough lay ups. He showed flashes of the type of defender he can be when he locks in too.
Chase Watkins, 2025 - Watkins may have been one of the best passers in attendance. He threw quite a few dimes that left people in awe due to his court vision.
