Spring Preview Camp Top Underclassmen

Our Spring Preview Camp had a ton of talent in the building. Top available seniors all the way down to nationally ranked freshman. Here, I am going to highlight six underclassmen that stood out to me.

It did not take long at all for this kid to catch my eye. Just about every time I looked up, he was converting on an acrobatic finish in the lane. His body control was on full display as he changed directions mid-air and contorted his body to avoid the defense. The 6-foot-1 guard can score it from all over the floor and does so efficiently. Defensively, he is an absolute pest on the ball. Foster applies a ton of ball pressure, resulting in points off of turnover opportunities.

Nile King

King is a long wing that brings a lot to the table. At 6-foot-4, he runs the floor and finishes well which helps him earn a lot of easy points in transition. He has a nice, soft touch around the rim, too. Add that to his size and athleticism and he can be tough to defend in the paint.

Isaiah Lonon

Lonon was one of the few true big men in attendance. The 6-foot-6 PF out of Heritage-Conyers has a ton of upside. Throughout the day, he attacked the boards with a lot of energy. He was able to dominate the paint and snag rebounds on both ends. Lonon possesses nice hands and plays with good patience on the low block. Only a sophomore, he is an interesting prospect to watch moving forward.

Cobey Smith

Smith was one of my favorite guards to watch. For starters, his speed with the ball in his hands is incredible; he may have been the quickest player in the building. He is a blur in the open floor and easily blew past defenders off the dribble with his tight handle. Smith identifies his spots, gets to them quickly, and makes plays happen.
