Providence assistant coach Jeff Battle has spent a lot of time in North Carolina over the years. He was an assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2001-2014. He has a lot of ties to the Carolinas' and uses those test always come in and grab some of the best in North Carolina and South Carolina. 

This recruiting cycle, Battle and The Friars landed teammates Quante Berry and Christ Essandoko from Winston-Salem Christian.
