HoopSeenW Camp Team 1 Breakdown

Our first HoopSeenW camp was incredible. We were able to get eyes on a number of talented girls and watch them go through high level drills and play three games of 5-on-5. Here is a breakdown of team 1.

Audreonia Benson: I enjoyed watching Benson play due to her motor and quickness. She gets up the floor so quickly and blows by defenders with ease. Defensively she uses her speed to be a disruptor. Benson also excelled in the midrange game. She has the ability to stop on the dime and get her shot off from anywhere.

Ciara Cuyler: Cuyler was one of the better defenders in attendance at the camp. She has active hands and understands how to anticipate and jump the passing lanes. Once she settled in and slowed down on the offensive end, she was able to be effective making plays.

Cybele Forbes: The 5-foot-10 freshman out of Buford already has nice size as she will surely continue to grow. While she showed flashes of her potential on both ends, there were moments where I wanted her to capitalize. As she gets more reps and continues through her high school career, her confidence will increase.

Jalexicia Hargrove: Hargrove was easily one of the most physical players there. The 6-footer has a strong frame that she uses to bully smaller defenders in the paint. She moves especially well for her size and made some surprising plays off the dribble. She also dominated the boards on both ends.

Monique Judge: At 5-foot-4, her aggressiveness in attacking the boards is really fun to watch. She was able to beat other players into the lane to pull down boards. Her on ball defense was also a sight to see; she is a stifling defender. As a PG, she takes good care of the ball and has good court vision.

D’yanna Maxey: Maxey was named an overall top performer. Read more about her here.

Camryn O’Neil: O’Neil is a hard worker that moves well without the ball. She was able to get quite a few easy buckets simply by cutting to open spots on the floor. She is also a really good rebounder as a guard.

Zy’Keria Pashcal: Paschal did a lot of the dirty work for her team. She crashed the boards on both ends, fought through screens, and was all over the floor for loose balls. Offensively, she sees the floor well as she constantly looks up to get the ball up the floor quickly.

Maliya Pittman: Pittman plays with a ton of energy. She was one of the more vocal players on each court that she was on. Only a freshman, she will make improvements as she gets more reps and grows as an overall player.
